“L’Etoile Du Nord” restaurant by Thierry Marx

The 2017 version of a train buffet!

Chef Thierry Marx opened his newest restaurant, l’Etoile du Nord, inside the Parisian train station in late 2016. Designed by architect Patrick Bouchain, it includes a brasserie, Le Zinc bar (upstairs) and a bakery oven.

On the menu: bistro classics plus special dishes, all cooked in-house. Plus the possibility of purchasing take-away sandwiches, salads and pastries. At the brasserie, the weekly menu offers a different traditional recipe each day served in a casserole dish. The wine bar proposes counter snacks with Caesar-style crispy soft-boiled eggs, delicious patés, gravlax salmon with citrus fruit and open-faced sandwiches for locals or travellers on the go.

Finally, for anyone wanting just-baked bread, the oven’s baguettes are available as of 5:30 AM! With its pleasant, energetic staff, lunch menu formula with unbeatable prices and relaxed mood, l’Etoile du Nord has quickly become a must-visit place in the neighborhood.
